Chiappa Firearms Little Badger series of 22LR and 22WMR rifles are quite popular for survivalist types and backpackers across the world. Chiappa Firearms have just announced the addition of two new trims of the Little Badger platform including one new Desert Sand Cerakote version as well as a brand new Take Down Xtreme version featuring a slimmed-down stock and a brand new water-resistant carrying case.

New Take Down Xtreme and Cerakote Little Badgers from Chiappa
The new Desert Sand variant of the Little Badger shares virtually all of the same features as the blued one but at the time of writing is only being produced in .22LR with a 16.5″ threaded barrel. The Cerakote version of the Little Badger ($264) will cost just a bit more than the standard blued version ($228). This version of the Little Badger should prove to be a little bit more weather resistant than the standard blued versions.
Meanwhile, the new Little Badger Take Down Xtreme rifle changes things up a bit more by adding a new streamlined steel rod stock that can still hold up to 12 rounds of spare .22LR ammunition, and of course, the new takedown system that allows the user to separate the receiver and barrel at the joint where the rifle would normally pivot. Also new for the Take Down Extreme is a brand new plastic carrying case that is water resistant and also features the new Chiappa Little Badger TDX logo. This new version of the Little Badger will cost $280.00 and still features the same M1 Military style sights, Picatinny quad rail, and blued finish. Hopefully, at some point down the road, Chiappa will be offering pistol variants of the Little Badger Take Down Xtreme as well as versions chambered in 22WMR and 17HMR.
